I believe in great customer service. I learned that early in retail. people thrive on that, they want good customer service. It’s just a matter of being honest and hardworking, and you’ve got to have knowledge about the business.

I worked for almost two decades in retail, and now have that many years in real estate. My emphasis on customer service is the most important lesson I brought to real estate. You have to make sure your customers are satisfied, always.

Prior to joining Joe R Stewart, REALTORS®, Dan was a candidate for Austin City Council in 2014, and spent six years as a staffer at the Texas Capitol, ultimately serving as Chief of Staff to Sen. Wendy Davis.Dan’s experience in real estate began over a decade in his home state of Michigan. Since moving to Austin 2006, Dan has enjoyed owning and managing his own rental property, dealing with everything from popcorn ceiling removal to plumbing and flooring installation.After receiving a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Michigan, Dan spent his first four post-college years as a financial adviser in the Detroit area.
